  1. My Life: Quality or Quantity

    A couple weeks ago, the Connecticut State Supreme Court ruled that a 17 year old teenage girl would have to undergo chemo therapy to treat her Hodgkins Lymphona (see article here http://abcnews.go.com/Health/conn-supreme-court-rules-17-year-cancer-patient/story?id=28093594). The Chemo therapy has a high likelihood of curing the girl's cancer, whereas no other treatment has surfaced that would be a viable alternative. The case is so interesting because it gets to the root of how much autonomy we should have as humans and how much control the government should have in the maintenance of our personal health.
