Girls Track Brings Home Medals at Ivy League Championships

Junior Amaris Hemmings and sophomore Mikaela Cole each brought home two medals at this year’s Ivy League Championships.

Amaris won first place in the 100m dash with a time of 12:74; as well as first place in the 200m dash with a time of 26:14. Mikaela placed first in the Novice 100m dash with a time of 14:83, and second in Novice 400m dash with a time of 69:58. In addition, junior Gabby Isom placed eighth in the 200m with a time of 28:29.

“It was a great day for the girls,” said Coach Manisha Doran. “They left their hearts on the track.”

Advancing to the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) Championships are Amaris (100m and 200m), Gabby (200m), senior Vera Armus-Laski (800m), and senior Julia Trencher (mile). Best of luck to all of our runners!
